Understanding the individual

A wardrobe begins
with a relationship.

Built on Jeffrey Bartlett’s more than 35 years of experience, Jeffrey Bartlett Clothiers helps clients solve the challenges of fit, quality, and choice. Our approach begins with listening and understanding how you live, what you like to wear, and where you need to be.

Our approach draws on that experience serving executives, board members, and coaches. We look beyond the closet to the calendar, the occasion, and the person wearing the clothes.

That understanding guides every recommendation.

A thoughtful starting point

First, we look at
what you already wear.

We review your closet with you. We consider the pieces you reach for, the fit you’re comfortable in, and the clothing that works well together.

From there, we identify what’s missing and build on what you already own to create a wardrobe that serves your life.

Fit. Quality. Choice.

Bringing it all together.

The pieces you need. The fit that feels right. The confidence of knowing what to wear.

For your life

We recommend and supply clothing for your work, special occasions, and casual days. We coordinate complete outfits and manage fittings, so each piece has a place in your wardrobe.

For where you live

If you divide your time between homes, we plan and arrange appropriate clothing at each residence, taking into account the climate, your activities, and what you wear there.

For what’s ahead

The relationship continues through seasonal check-ins and planning for upcoming commitments. As your calendar and needs change, we help keep your wardrobe ready.

Different lives.
A wardrobe for each.

Ready for the season.

A client with weekly public appearances and frequent travel believed in dressing well, but hadn’t had time to rebuild his wardrobe to suit his position. What he had on hand wasn’t enough for the visibility his role required. He wanted input on the look, then wanted the details handled.

Working within a palette of red, gray, and black, Jeffrey Bartlett Clothiers selected fabrics, mapped out complete outfits, and coordinated shirts so he knew what to wear for each commitment. We created a coordinated wardrobe of two suits, eight jackets, and six shirts, with combinations planned to serve him throughout the season.

We coordinated delivery as each piece arrived, sometimes just hours before he needed it. The service extended beyond supplying clothing to making sure the right outfit was ready when his calendar called for it.

A new role.
A short window.

Recently promoted to president of his company, a client had little time or inclination to shop. When we asked, “Are you happy with your current wardrobe, or would you like some help with it?” he immediately saw the value. We arranged a thirty-minute visit to his home on a busy morning.

Together, we reviewed his closet and found as much worth keeping as there was to let go. Many pieces still served him well. What was missing were the complementary clothes to bring them together into complete outfits.

We decided on 10 new outfits. Building on what he already owned, we put together a wardrobe of four suits, two sport jackets, eight additional pairs of trousers, a black cashmere coat, and twenty shirts. Each piece was chosen to give him more combinations and make dressing for his new role easier.

Now, we meet twice a year to discuss how the clothing has worked for him, what he would like to change, and what events are coming up. His feedback says it best: “Thank you, Jeff. This used to be the worst thing I had to do. Now it’s easy.”

He came in for a wedding.
He left with a wardrobe plan.

A busy physician first visited Jeffrey Bartlett Clothiers to prepare for his daughter’s wedding, with one outfit for walking her down the aisle and another for the rehearsal dinner. His wife joined him to help choose the right looks.

With the measurements taken and the wedding outfits designed, she saw an opportunity. He rarely had time to shop, and enjoyed it even less. Why stop at the wedding?

An hour later, his order included three suits in black, navy sharkskin, and charcoal sharkskin; two sport jackets in maroon and burgundy floral jacquard; three additional pairs of trousers in black, dark gray, and deep navy; and seven shirts in whites, blues, and burgundy gingham.

Once the new clothing arrived, we turned to his existing closet. Together, we made a plan to create room, alter pieces he wasn’t wearing so they could return to use, and donate what no longer served him. The closet review usually comes first. For this couple, the wedding opened the door, and we built the plan around them.

What began with two occasions became a wardrobe that brought together the best of what he owned and what he needed next.
